Originally from Orlando, Fl, Laura graduated from University of South Florida with her B.F.A. in Modern dance performance in 2015. During her college career she had the opportunity to study, dance, and choreograph in the USF Dance in Paris Program under the direction of Michael Foley and Colleen Thomas. She worked with choreographers such as Paula Suarez, Kevin Quinaou, Javiar de Frutos, Scott Putman, Lenaig Guegan, Vladimir Rodriguez, and Elena Ciaravella. During her education she was invited to travel with USF faculty member, Jeanne Travers, to the Visionary Dance Company showcase in San Diego, CA and the CoCo International Dance Festival in Trinidad and Tobago to perform Jeanne's work called, "Into Mergence." After graduation Laura continued her training and traveled to summer programs with Robert Moses KinRepertory Dance Theatre, and Bodytraffic. Summer 2016 she worked with Red Right Return Dance Company in the International Fringe Festival in Orlando and then onto Maine to collaborate with Wild Goose Chase Dance alongside Susan Douglas Roberts.   

 

Laura moved to Bloomington, IN in the fall of 2016 where she was an active member/choreographer for the Windfall Dance Company. During her remaining time she worked as a dancer for Stephanie Nugent Dance to launch her next work, nóstos álgos. 

 

She is now residing in Austin, TX, working as a freelance artist and dance teacher. This past year she has had the pleasure of performing with BLiPSWiTCH, Jennifer Sherburn's 11:11:08, and NunaMaana Immersive Dance Theatre, and Empty Maps Collective in this years Revolve: A Movement Display. 

 

Just recently Laura performed her own work, fickle,  for the first time in Austin at the Austin Dance Festival alongside, dancer and best friend, Jessica Stroh. Next month she will be dancing in Leyya Mona's Destroy// Austin at the Museum of Human Achievement.
